We remember Katherine Johnson, influential NASA mathematician who calculated the flight path for America’s first space mission and inspired the movie ‘Hidden Figures.’

Katherine Johnson, one of NASA's human "computers" who wrote trajectory equations for missions in the space agency's early days, has died at 101.

She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015. https://trib.al/3AFv3rP
