When the SciTech Card Office returns (perhaps April 2026) students can have Mason ID cards made at the SciTech Campus Photo ID Office, eliminating the need to make a special trip to Fairfax for this purpose. The first card is free; placement of lost, stolen, or damaged card costs $25.00. At this time, we only take cash payments. Stay tuned!
To obtain a physical Mason Photo ID:
- A valid form of picture ID must be shown (Driver’s license, Military ID, Passport).
- Students must be registered for at least one class for the current semester.
- Faculty/Staff must have a current employment status in Banner.
- Affiliates/Contract personnel must have a current status in Banner.
- If you wish to or have been asked to upload your own Photo, check the instructions on The Online Card Office.

WHAT IS THE *NEW* MASON MOBILE ID?
The Mason Mobile ID is a digital identification that is stored on a mobile device (iPhone, Apple Watch or Android). It allows users to verify their identity electronically without the need for a physical Mason ID.
