Galileo’s Science Cafe

Join us for FREE dinner and an outdoor stargazing presentation featuring Dr. Mike Summers, Mason College of Science Professor of Planetary Science and Astronomy. The presentation will be at the lawn of the Schofield Recreation Area on the SciTech Campus. It is behind Katherine G. Johnson Hall by the Green & White Tent. Outdoor social distancing will be required (ten feet between individuals), masks must be worn until you arrive in your reserved section. You may get tickets for 1-4 people to share your section/bubble if all individuals are from the same “household” including on-campus and off-campus roommates or are those with whom you are otherwise in frequent, close contact, and are confident and comfortable sharing close space with. It is lawn seating so bring a blanket or low-profile/beach chairs. Circles will be painted on the grass separating each group of no more than 4 people.

ALL ATTENDEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW THEIR MASON COVID SCREENING GREEN RESULTS. We recommend that they take a phone photo of the screen with the results to show at event check-in.

Join University Life for virtual yoga! Our Programming Assistant Pranjal will lead students, faculty, and staff in a yoga session. Pranjal is a student at the SciTech campus and comes to us with 8 years+ of experience teaching yoga.

Mondays will be chair yoga; participants should use a straight backed chair that is not on wheels.

Thursdays will be mat yoga with a mix of standing and seated pose
